Kirkus reviews describe the narrative as associate; stream of consciousness in which the interior life (thoughts, feelings, and memories) of a character are narrated in an associative and “fluid” style without apparent transitions. A thought may lead to another and may lay way for disorientation. It is also rare to get a glimpse inside the mind of a person who has survived two traumatic brain injuries. An amazing story!

“…complications that often go unnoticed—and can fester into broken relationships and added psychological trauma.” Melissa Wuske , Foreword Clarion Reviews
In general, readers who come to events featuring authors who write novels, memoir or narrative non-fiction, history and biography, often want to know about the deeper meaning, choice of symbolic action, characters, and relationships in the work.
They’re hoping for a personal connection when the author is someone they admire and appreciate. They want to find out what’s behind the story, why it was written and how – the artistic, creative, psychological process.Scooter will gladly engage the reader who will develop a deeper appreciation for hidden disabilities of all types.
